What pickup locations are available?
Depending on the direction we are heading (North, South, East, West), pickup locations may vary. Our most frequent pickup locations are Mercer, PA, Barkeyville, PA, Slippery Rock, PA, Clarion, PA, Austintown, OH. We may also make additional stops along the I-80 corridor as far east as Dubois, PA, depending on our passengers’ locations. We are also making preparations for a Hadley, PA departure location.
What is Trip Insurance?
Trip Insurance is an optional service that gives you additional peace of mind. Should you to cancel your reservation in the event of a serious illness or death in your family, you will be guaranteed a full refund (less the insurance fee). Trip Insurance is available for an additional 10% of the cost of your trip.
Trip Insurance must be purchased when you initially book your trip. This insures you a full refund in case of the following:
- Personal illness (requires a doctor’s written note confirming you were too ill to travel)
- A death in your immediate family (requires a copy of death notice)
- Family illness, if an immediate family member’s illness necessitates you staying home. This must still be confirmed by a doctor’s note. *Immediate family is defined as a spouse, parent, or child.
To cancel a tour, a telephone call must be received in our office no later than 48 hours before departure. In the case of a Monday departure, the cancellation notice must be received in our office on the Friday before the tour departs. Trip Insurance is for cancellation prior to departure. It does not include baggage insurance or trip interruption insurance. Your refund will be issued only after we have verified the details of your situation (doctor’s note, death notice, etc.).
Why am I being charged an additional fee for using my credit card?
At Keeling Tour & Travel, we strive to keep our tour prices as affordable as possible. The vast majority of our customers pay by check or money order. By charging credit card processing fees only to those who use the service, we can keep the prices lower for those who pay by other means. Therefore, online bookings are subject to the additional 3% credit card processing fee.

What about gratuities?
Gratuities for the escort and driver are not factored into the cost of the tour. However, it is customary, but not obligatory, to show your appreciation to them.
How much should I tip? Typically $1.00 to $2.00 per person per day for the tour escort and $1.00 to $2.00 per person per day for the driver is suggested, depending on the service you have received.
When are deposits and final payments due?
Your reservation is not secure until a deposit is received. Reservations may be canceled without further notice if a deposit is not received within 2 weeks of booking. The full cost of the trip is due 30 days prior to departure.
Will you send me luggage tags?
Yes! Typically one to two weeks prior to departure you will receive a letter listing departure times, pickup points, luggage tags, and hotel information.
How are passengers seated on the bus?
Seating is determined by order of reservation. Generally, your seat remains the same throughout the duration of the trip, however, you are free to trade places with other passengers and move around the coach should there be additional seating available. Passengers with valid handicaps may be given preferential seating in the first 3 rows of the coach.
What about cancellation? Do I get a refund?
If WE cancel: In the event that Keeling Tour & Travel cancels a tour, you will receive a full refund of all deposits and payments made. You may also choose to transfer your money to into another tour of your choosing.
If YOU cancel: The short answer is: “it depends.” Because we are required to pay deposits upfront to hotels and attractions for each tour, we cannot guarantee full refunds, unless you have purchased Trip Insurance (see Trip Insurance info above). We do our best to refund you as much as we possibly can, and will often look for replacement travelers to fill your slot so that we can refund you in full. Purchasing Trip Insurance is the only way we can guarantee a complete refund.
